I study the ecology of plant roots and the soil they grow in, program computers to do things that are useful to ecologists, take pictures, cook things, and complain a lot on Twitter.

I defended my PhD in October of 2016 and am looking for my next challenge. If you're hiring for a position that involves extracting new knowledge from messy datasets, have a look at my CV and get in touch. Bonus points if it also involves biological systems, simulations of them, or any of the topics from my dissertation.
